In the 1970s Canterbury of New Zealand came up with the idea of saving waste by using the scraps of their rugby jersey sewing operations to make their "Uglies" training jersey range and a kiwi icon was born!
In 2020 Gray-Nicolls have followed suit (or rather "glove" and "pad"), releasing the "Off-Cuts" range which uses material remnants to make these eye-catching batting gloves!
Each pair is unique, with different pieces of material giving a wide range of colours - Mine are gloriously 90s Fluro: Blue, green and orangey-red!
With a good, comfortable fit, these gloves are sure to be an attention-grabbing addition to pitches across New Zealand this season!
