The Mitchell & Ness Swingman Vince Carter Toronto Raptors Home Jersey – 1998/99!

During Vince Carter's first season in the NBA with the Toronto Raptors, the team bid farewell to their iconic dinosaur jersey. Carter made sure that his rookie year was one to remember, earning the Rookie of the Month award twice and being named Rookie of the Year by the end of the season. His impressive average of 18.3 points per game and electrifying dunks not only secured his ROY award but also earned him a spot on the 1998-99 All Rookie First Team.

The Toronto Raptors were founded in 1995 as part of the NBA's expansion into Canada, and their name pays tribute to the success of the 1993 film "Jurassic Park." The team quickly became fan favourites with their recognizable purple team colours.

However, in 2008, the Raptors replaced the purple with red before introducing an alternative logo featuring raptor claws holding a basketball in 2015. Despite the changes, the original dinosaur jersey remains a beloved part of Raptors history and is a must-have for any die-hard fan.
